§ Tailored to advocates who practice in Indian tribal courts on Indian reservations or Indian trust land

§ All lawsuits covered by your policy are defended by a licensed tribal law attorney with both private and insurance industry experience.

§ Exclusion - does not cover practice in state courts or under state laws. Likewise, your state law legal malpractice policy (if any) likely has an express or implied exclusion for law practice in Indian tribal courts. Only a written opinion from a carrier’s underwriting department can confirm whether you are covered for tribal law practice. Never assume.

We can provide policies from $5,000.00 to $100,000.00, with premiums as shown below:

If you need higher policy limits we can occasionally make exceptions. Policies with limits in excess of $50,000.00 are reinsured by one or more other insurance companies that specialize in accepting part of the risk from primary carriers like us. Ten percent discount for members of the Tribal Advocates National Bar Association (“TANBA”). Five percent discount for members of other professional tribal bar associations with CLE conferences of their own.   • Do you practice law in Indian tribal courts? The chances are that any attorney/advocate malpractice insurance you can find on the market today will not cover you for the legal services you provide to your clients in Indian Country legal tribunals. That’s where we come in, to provide you with the gap insurance you need to protect you for the unique legal practice niche you are in when practicing federal Indian law or tribal law in an Indian Country tribunal. This gap coverage does not protect you in other tribunals, such as the work you do for clients in state or federal courts.
